Tutorials

HARDCODING SUBS ON AVI
1. Download Virtual Dub
2. Download this plugin called Vobsub
3. When you are installing the Vobsub, Remember to check all of these boxes shown below otherwise you'll have to reinstall vobsub.

5. Open your Virtualdub program and open the avi file that you want to put subtitles on to by going to File -> Open video file.
6. Before we get started with the subtitles, let me explain about the settings so you don't end up with a avi file with the size of 100GBs... Go to "video" and select "Full processing mode" and go to "Audio" and select "Direct steam copy".
7. Go to "video -> Compression" and highlight "DivX Pro(tm) 5.11 Codec" and click OK. Now when you save your AVI file, you will have a normal sized video.
8. Okay, now to the subtitling part. Open "Video -> Filters" and a window should open.
9. Click "Add..." and find "TexSub 2.23". Highlight it and click OK.
10. A box titled "Textsub settings should have popped up by now. So click "Open..." and find where your subtitle file is and click OK.
11. If you want to see if the subtitles are in sync, you can preview it before you hardcode your subtitles by going to "File -> Preview Filtered" and it should show you your video with the subtitles onto the second frame of your virtualdub.
12. If you are satisfied with it, go to "File -> Save as AVI..." and name your avi whatever you want, wait til it's done and that is it! You have a movie with hardcoded subtitles!

Here are some of my ringtones that I have for my phone. You can download them for your own. They are all mp3 files.

Cormartie In episode 10 of Cromartie high school, Mechazawa's little brother was used as a cell phone and this ringtone was used. (it is also the ending theme of some of the episodes)
FFVII Victory This ringtone was heard in the movie Final fantasy VII : Advent children
Zelda The sound effect that you hear when you find a secret area in the game zelda.
Zelda V.2 Same as the above ringtone but a different sounding one.
Disgaea The opening theme of the game, Disgaea.
Chakushin ari The famous ringtone that was in the movie "Chakushin Ari" or as you all know as "One missed call".
Cat Soup The ending theme of the obscure 30 minute anime called "Cat soup".

MANGA

Are you one of those otakuns that are too poor to go out and buy manga and just go to a bookstore that sells manga to sit in that section reading mangas you can't afford while people that actually can afford to buy one glares at you because you're in their way? Well instead of getting evil eyes from people and humiliation being saved, here's a little section where you can read manga on your computer! Enjoy! ^.^

My 1st Kawaii Kon...Day 1

Being that Bran is really into the anime & gaming scene, going to the Kawaii Kon was definately a 'Go'. As for me, this is the 1st time I have ever witnessed the events that go at this convention. The character I chose out of 'joking', was Ultraman. For obvious reasons, it suited fine because it was one of the tv shows I grew up watching while growing up (along with Kikaida, Kamen Raider, etc.)...Oops...my age is showing! LOL!

1st off, a 'Big Thank You' to Bran & her mom for the sleepless nights and many hours spent on the costume. After hours of sore backs, sore hands, pins either scratching or poking them while sewing, it turned out great. I am so grateful for their awesome efforts and determination into making it with the end result being 'Fabulous'! They should be recognized for the costume! Thanks Sweetie!

The 1st day started off waking up early, just like going to work. I'm not a morning person so I was kinda...'out of it'...lol. But Bran was up much earlier than me and had slept later too, so I could have imagined how she felt. She was done dressing as Yuko-chan (XXXholic) and it took me a short time to slip into the Ultraman costume. Being addicted to Diet Coke, we made a pit stop at 'crack' Donalds to get my morning fix. I didn't notice if people were looking at us while in traffic, but really, I don't care because this kind of stuff is 'Fun'!

Getting at the convention center, I thought we were like 'the 1st ones' there...but I was wrong. We got to register a little early and hung out until the events would start. I saw my friend Luke, and harrassed him a little being that he was working for the Kon. I have to say, I was kinda nervous being there. More or less I felt shy because it was the 1st Kon for me. I was amazed at all the cos players. It was cool because they get really into it and their enthusiasm shows. But the coolest part to me was the exchanging of taking photos of cos players. It was humbling, yet a gratifying experience! I couldn't help but 'to add' that Bran made the Ultraman costume if people commented on it...

I started having fun even if it was hard to see, hear, & breathe in the mask. I have to apologize to Bran because I either stepped on her dress 100x or bumped her hair out of place...sorry honey...But yeah, taking pictures was fun, hearing comments, & talking to others. It was really something and the people there are nice...except for this one bitch which I won't get into...lol! The highlight for me was when the guy from 'The Emeralds' wanted to take a picture with me. I felt honored because he's a J-rock musician and Bran got a picture of us too. That was cool...so tomorrow...I will show my support and check out their show!

All in all, the people at the Kon were nice & it made it a good 1st day experience for me. I am looking forward to tomorrow! Until then...

Hopefully I can find a stable job and go all out next year! lol That was so awesome that the emeralds guy wanted to take a pic with you lol... I can't believe he heard me say that I wanted to take his pic with you... lol! That was awesome that alot of people wanted to take pics of you hehe
